A Nostalgic Approach to Visual Storytelling
Miniature Film Set
The goal was clear yet creatively challenging: to craft a visually engaging Christmas-themed animation reflecting the storytelling and collaborative identity of our company. We embraced the warmth of the season, capturing the delicate balance between nostalgia, cinematic storytelling, and visual craftsmanship.

Storyboard & Animation Flow
Planning the Animation
Before jumping into the animation, I started by drawing some very simple sketches, a rough storyboard to plan what would happen in each part of the video. These sketches helped me figure out how the camera would move, what parts of the scene it would focus on, and when each little moment would happen.

Before jumping into the animation, I started by drawing some very simple sketches, a rough storyboard to plan what would happen in each part of the video. These sketches helped me figure out how the camera would move, what parts of the scene it would focus on, and when each little moment would happen.
The whole animation takes place on a round, toy-like platform kind of like a tiny wooden stage. Because it’s circular, I could move the camera around it smoothly, showing different scenes from different angles. These drawings helped me organize the story in a way that feels smooth, magical, and easy to follow—even before any of the animation work began.

Bringing the Scene to Life
Telling the Story with Tiny Scenes
The animation is made up of several small, charming scenes—like little snapshots of holiday moments. You’ll see tiny wooden characters playing a game of table tennis, or using an old-fashioned movie camera to “film” the fun. Everything takes place in a cozy, glowing wooden world that looks like a handcrafted toy set. The way light and shadows move across the scene helps make it feel magical, warm, and full of holiday nostalgia—kind of like stepping into a peaceful winter memory

Adapted for Short-Form
Adapted for Short-Form
Instead of one long animation, the project was divided into a series of three short 5-second videos, each focusing on a different heartwarming moment from the wooden world. This format allowed each scene to shine on its own, while keeping things playful, digestible, and perfect for quick social media viewing.
Each mini-video ends with a cheerful 5-second jingle and a "Happy, Happy Holidays" message to wrap up the moment with warmth and energy.
Thanks for exploring this tiny world with me—hope it brought a smile to your day.
Wishing you a Happy, Happy Holiday season—any time of year. 🎄✨
